I use to tease <br /> [?] but [?] [?]<br />away and never brought <br />it back. Mrs. Smith is <br />having very nice time <br />indeed. I think she <br />has been able to collect <br />good many legends <br />[page 2]<br />besides other valuable<br />information. <br />Yesterday she bought<br />a [?] Pipe that was <br />given to the great chief<br />Sag – gra – [?] – sah in <br />1807, by the Baptist Mission in Mass. (I<br />could not spell the <br />name) You will no <br />doubt see it in Boston<br />at your meeting.<br /> Mrs Smith is going<br />to take an Indian girl<br />home with her, a<br />cousin of mine who is <br />here on a visit.
